Fire in production unit is estimated to have only marginal effects on business operations

The production is interrupted for now, but is expected to be up and running again at the turn of the month July-August. Due to this situation actions have been initiated, and only minor disruptions of deliveries are therefore expected. Duni estimates that the production stoppage has a largely insignificant effect on result.

As previously announced, a fire occurred on June 16 2010 at a production unit of Duni’s subsidiary Rexcell Tissue & Airlaid in Dals Långed, Sweden. There were no personal injuries. The production is interrupted for now, but is expected to be up and running again at the turn of the month July-August. Due to this situation actions have been initiated, and only minor disruptions of deliveries are therefore expected. Duni estimates that the production stoppage has a largely insignificant effect on result. The company has a business interruption insurance. The insurance comprises property damages and loss of revenue during the production stoppage.

The fire started most probably in a dryer unit. There have been damages in areas like the roof, ventilation and electronic installations.

At the unit in Dals Långed, airlaid tissue is produced, which is used for production of table top and hygiene products.
