Table-setting reflects the zeitgeist. It follows the same trends as fashion, design, interior design and food. In 2009 Duni turned 60 years and throughout the years Duni has left its mark on how tables are set, just as the tables have left their mark on Duni.
60 years is a long time at the table. Over the years, some things have been added and others have disappeared. Nowadays it may feel totally inappropriate to put out ashtrays before the dessert, as was done for Sunday dinners in the fifties. However, nobody would be surprised if cutlery were replaced with chopsticks for an Asian lunch. Our grandmothers collected many porcelain services, but today it is perfectly acceptable to mix and match.
